1947
Founded by Bernard Van Hool
(05.03.1902 – † 06.03.1974)
1965
Commercial agreement was signed with Fiat.
The start of industrial vehicle manufacturing.
1974 – 1982
Despite economic challenges, Van Hool introduces its first tank container and expands its market presence across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
1991 – 1997
Van Hool continues its innovation with new tanker trailer designs and expansions into new markets globally.
Launched a complete range of tank containers, with a separate production line being set up for the purpose.
1998 – 2008
Van Hool enters strategic partnerships and expands its production facilities, focusing on developing advanced tanker trailer technologies.
2015
2019
Van Hool introduces new models and emphasizing advanced technologies and sustainable solutions in industrial transport.
1995
GRW, a South African manufacturer, was founded in 1995 by brothers Gerhard and Wentzel van der Merwe, along with their business associate Rossouw van Eeden. Their mission was to build world-class road tankers and trailers. Today, Gerhard is still the major shareholder and CEO of the GRW Group.
2003
First fuel tanker commissioned in United Kingdom.
2017
Partnership formed with major German trailer manufacturer, Schmitz Cargobull.
2018
Manufacturing of silo tankers commenced for European market.
2021
Expansion of manufacturing of trailers in Toddin, Germany
2024
Van Hool Industrial Vehicles acquired by GRW.
